Welcome to St. Edward's Primary School
We are a very happy and harmonious community where parents, teachers, teaching assistants and governors work together to achieve the best for our children. We pride ourselves on being a small, nurturing school that focuses on the development of the whole child and we are committed to doing our utmost to ensure the highest quality of education for all our pupils.
St. Edward's was originally under the trusteeship of the Sisters of Mercy, who founded the school in 1864. We maintain strong links with our local parish churches, Church of Our Lady (St. John's Wood) and Church of Our Lady of the Rosary (Marylebone) and Westminster Diocese. We positively welcome applications from children and parents of other faiths or none, who want to share our ethos. As a Catholic community the values of the Gospel and the teachings of Jesus Christ are at the heart of all we do. Religious Education takes a high priority in our curriculum and we use the programme called 'The Way, The Truth and The Life' to teach religion. We also help our children to learn about other Faiths and encourage them to grow in their religious literacy and understanding.
